Nick Foles is a continuous inspiration
Once again, Foles showed the city of Philadelphia more reasons to love him. Not only has he brought Philly its first Super Bowl title, but he continues to make the city proud in his accomplishments since February 4th. Since returning to Philly in last year’s offseason, Foles has won a Super Bowl title, Super Bowl MVP, is a New York Times Best Seller, and now an ESPY winner. Last night at the 2018 ESPY awards, Foles took home the hardware for “Best Championship Performance”. In his speech, he showed that he is a continuous inspiration to his teammates, fans, and young athletes all around.
About the speech
Foles started as he always does thanking God, as we know his faith plays an enormous role in his daily life and in his career. He thanked his wife, his teammates, and Eagles fans. Next, he went on to offer some words of wisdom to the kids and young athletes watching.

This man just keeps getting better
Our Super Bowl MVP just keeps getting better and better. Foles is not only a great football player, but he is a phenomenal person. He is a continuous inspiration to his friends, family, teammates, and fans. As he said in his speech, his career path isn’t normal and it does not make sense. But, he’s here and people continue to doubt him. He says that people are going to doubt you no matter what but don’t believe them. Any young football player should look at Foles and realize that you just have to keep working.
The rest of the ESPYs
Unfortunately, the Eagles did not win another award during the evening. They lost in the category of “Best Play” which is absolutely blasphemous in my opinion. They also did not win “Best Team” which is also ludicrous. However, the Philly Special will go down in history along with the 2017 Philadelphia Eagles who brought the city their first Super Bowl. The team was led by Foles who gave an amazing performance and continues to make Philly proud by being a continuous inspiration to everyone.
