Eagles have chance to make a statement vs Dallas

Statement game in the NFC East

Sunday night presents us with a statement game in the NFC East. The 4-4 Philadelphia Eagles fresh off a bye week will host the 3-5 Dallas Cowboys. On Monday night the Tennessee Titans defeated the Cowboys behind three Marcus Mariota Touchdowns 28-14. The Cowboys all around looked bad but they appear content with what they have. Sunday presents a huge opportunity for the Eagles to have that get right victory to propel them the rest of the way. Feel free to watch Dallas lose below.

Dallas hate week

Since a 40-7 beatdown of the Jags, the Cowboys have looked clueless. They’ve lost two straight games and are averaging just 15.5 points per game. Ezekiel Elliott has been bottled up for 94 rush yards in those two games and zero touchdowns. Dak Prescott of course continues to be pedestrian. New Addition Amari Cooper did, however, catch a touchdown in his debut against the Titans. With the Atlanta Falcons defeating the Redskins 38-14 this was a successful bye week all around for the Eagles. Adding Golden Tate and moving to within a game of the Redskins. Sunday is the perfect time for the Eagles to hit their stride and have a dominant showing.

Fly like an Eagle

Now cornerbacks Jalen Mills and Sidney Jones will miss this weeks game but the team has recieved good news in other areas. There is hope that Darren Sproles will return this week from a hamstring injury. Defensive Tackle Timmy Jernigan is back practinging and could return for week 11. His presence has been greatly missed as he had his best career year last year. He would form a dominant duo with Fletcher Cox and breath life into the pass rush. Five of the Eagles last eight games are divisional games so this game is a must win. Even without Jernigan the Eagles still boast the league’s number two ranked rush defense so it should be a tough night for Zeke.

Race to the top

The Eagles have won two of the last three against the Cowboys in the series. Remember when Dak vs Wentz was a thing? Yeah crazy how things change. At 4-4 everything is still ahead of the Eagles. A team that is getting healthy and with Wentz clicking this team is poised to make a string finish. While the Eagles do have dates with the Saints and Rams coming up which will really show where this team is the division is the automatic key to the playoffs.

Adding Tate gives another weapon to a team that will need to score all the points it can. Expect Lincoln Financial Field to be rocking for Sunday Night for this statement game. I have the Eagles winning big setting the stage for a late season push. Lets flashback to week 11 of last season ah good times.
