  • He’s coming home! After a few years of speculations, and “will he, won’t he” discussions, DeSean Jackson is FINALLY coming home. When he left the Washington Redskins, it was thought to be a possibility that Jackson would sign with the Eagles, however, he chose the Buccaneers. Finally, this time, the Bucs were about to release the speedy receiver. However, the Eagles jumped in and traded for their former star. Jackson’s first round with the Eagles After three years at Cal, Jackson was selected by the Eagles in the second round, with the 49th pick of the 2008 NFL draft. From 2008-2013, Jackson recorded a total of 6,117 receiving yards (three 1,000 yard seasons) and 32 touchdowns. Let’s also not forget the other four touchdowns that he added as well. There was one that was titled “Miracle at the Meadowlands Part Two”. He was released by Chip Kelly after just one season with the head coach. It’s absolutely time for him to come home. We never wanted him to leave! With the Redskins, then the Bucs From 2014-2018, Jackson spent five years total with both the Washington Redskins and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For those teams, he registered 4,144 receiving yards (two 1,000 yard seasons) and 21 touchdowns. If anyone has any doubts about what D-Jax can still do, I encourage you to remember the first play of their game against the Eagles just this past season. Why coming home is a good idea for D-Jax First of all, no player has more 50+ yard receptions for or against the Eagles than Jackson. Secondly, no one in NFL history has more 60+ yard touchdowns than Jackson. The Eagles fans never wanted him to leave. Freakin’ Chip did. He’s another excellent weapon for Carson Wentz.
