What a thrilling wildcard weekend we were treated to. The Eagles escaped the Bears with a heart-stopping 16-15 victory to advance in the playoffs. In doing so the Eagles now have a rematch with the Saints Sunday in the Superdome. Payback is a you know what and the Eagles will certainly be looking for revenge. Since a 48-7 beat down this team has really turned it around. Can the legend of Foles continue?

Foles vs Brees

Sunday will be the second time Drew Brees and Foles will meet in the playoffs. The first time came back in the 2013 playoffs. On a last second 32-yard field goal by Shayne Graham, the Saints won 26-24. On that day Foles completed 23 of 33 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns while leaving the field with the lead.

Fast forward six years later and here we are again. Foles has won four straight playoff games since then. While it wont be easy this is a different Eagles team coming to town and not the one we saw a few weeks ago.

This is just what Foles does. In the biggest games in the biggest moments he delivers. With the Eagles down by five and needing a touchdown to win Foles delivered with a 12 play 60-yard drive ending with a two-yard touchdown to Golden Tate on fourth and goal.

Foles finished the day 25-40 for 266 yards two touchdowns and two interceptions. Furthermore, In five career playoff games, Foles is 4-1 with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions. In addition, he’s left the field with the lead in all five games.

Can the magic continue?

Lastly, Foles will look to make it 5-1 in his playoff career as a trip to the NFC Championship will be on the line in New Orleans.
